starting a literary blog!
As an English student, I spend a great deal of time applying to literary magazines. While my photography has been published, I have yet to be accepted by the elites of the lit-mag world, and have sauntered off to form a rebellion. Clover.Poe is that rebellion.
I started The Birdhouse because I am inspired constantly by people online. There is no shortage of creativity on the tiny internet, and I wanted to be a part of it! Now that I've been a resident of this corner of the internet for some months now, I've gotten a little too comfortable with my blog. I can only tinker so much. So, in the hopes of fostering that online creativity I care so deeply about, I started a literary blog where anyone and everyone can submit their poetry, prose, essays, photography, and art. No barrier to entry. No strings attached.
How does it work? Well, you email me. Yup. That's it.
In terms of organization, I think I'll split issues into months and publish each piece as I get it. I won't be requiring a theme for now, but if this thing picks up then I might start requiring specific themes.
This blog post is really just to get Clover.Poe out there! I've been working on it for a few days now, and it's finally available for you all to click around on since I posted a poem of mine to the blog.
Happy reading, and please feel free to shoot me any questions! <3
