interwebbing escapades on status.cafe
As some of you may know, I set up my Status.Cafe profile two days ago, and it was a great success! Today, I'm sharing a few of the things I'm liking about it so far and some of the changes I've made to my own site as a result.
here's what it looks like right now!
- I added a section to my blogroll for status.cafe profiles I really love the stlye of, and I also updated my Neocities and Nekoweb links to include sites I found through status.cafe.
- I added polka dots to my status.cafe background and the embedded update on my home page so it looks consistent, and tweaked some font sizes here and there to overall adjust the profile more to my liking.
tiny polka dots at the bottom!
- I added this Gameboy container from AppleDust at the bottom of my About section for added cuteness. I want to do something with mine or my gf's blog with these containers, but I'm still figuring that out.
the bottom half of the page with the new container! it should look less wonky once the status section fills out.
- I already made some new connections outside of Bear Blog! Fritzi from Bohemian Sultriness on Nekoweb found my page through status.cafe, in addition to some Neocities pages I love who have reached out after finding me on the feed page on status.cafe. I've always wondered how to get my site, which at times feels secluded in a very small and very specific corner of the internet, to other spaces I really like but am not necessarily invested in or promoted on. This seems like a great way to do it, since I've already found people from all corners of the web on the platform, in addition to people whose pages don't link outward at all.
So, that's most of it! I may have a headache and early-onset carpal tunnel, but I'm happy.
