collective book & vinyl haul
I've done a lot of (very necessary) book shopping in the last month or so, here's an overview of what I got!
(these are just some of the aforementioned very necessary pickups)
ʚ Barnes & Noble ɞ
These were picked up on the 20th, on a bookstore/sushi date with my girlfriend!
- The Poetry of Impermanence, Mindfulness, and Joy edited by John Brehm
- Every Time I Find the Meaning of Life, They Change It by Daniel Klein
ʚ Used Bookstore ɞ
I was looking for some classics or philosophy, and figured I'd find them (for cheap) at a used bookstore I'd never been to before. I was right!
- Heart of Darkness by James Conrad
- Persuasion by Jane Austen
- Letters to a Young Poet by Rainer Maria Rilke
ʚ Independent Bookstore ɞ
This indie bookstore is a favorite of mine and my girlfriend's because of the great selection and cafe inside! This time we got iced coffees and cookies. Yum!!
- Play it as It Lays by Joan Didion
- Let Me Tell You What I Mean by Joan Didion
- We Could Have Been Friends, My Father and I by Raja Shehadeh
- Giovanni's Room by James Baldwin
- Big Swiss by Jen Beagin (gf's pick)
ʚ Record Store ɞ
After the indie bookstore, we stopped by the record store to pick up some very very very necessary albums before dinner.
- Charm by Clairo
- Model by Wallows
- Forever Means by Angel Olsen
- Lost in Translation Motion Picture Soundtrack, dir. Sofia Coppola
